Director and Choreographer Ronny Dutra (he/him/his), most recently directed the film version of "RIO UPHILL - A New Musical" and “Réveillon Branco - A NYE Celebration" for the Lucille Lortel Holiday Series and starred as the leads in “BUM FARTO - The Musical” and "Marry Murder F#@! - A Ballroom Comedy"
Prior, Ronny co-adapted and co-directed the award-winning show “OUT OF WATER - A Brazilian Pocket Musical.” He’s also worked closely with Stephen Schwartz on bringing “PIPPIN,” and other projects, to Brazil.
Ronny performed in the regional premiere of Gloria Estefan's "ON YOUR FEET," and starred in "WAVE," an autobiographical play that shares his journey from humble roots in Brazil to the fast-paced world of competitive dance in New York City, which played to sold-out crowds and rave reviews.
