David Martin Jacques
David has been designing lighting, sets, and projections for the past 40 years. His work spans across Europe, Asia, South America, Scandinavia, and North America. David has designed at venues such as The Royal Opera House, Teatro alla Scala, The English National Opera, The Lyric Opera of Chicago, and The National Theatre of Tokyo.
David served as lighting consultant for Disney Creative Entertainment where he helped design many attractions for Disney Orlando, Euro-Disney, Epcot, and MGM.
In 2017, David, along with fellow lighting educators Steve Woods (SMU) and Stan Kaye (University of Florida) created the popular weekly podcast "LIGHT TALK with The Lumen Brothers".

Today’s guest is lighting designer Steve Woods. He has designed at The Dallas Theatre Center, Undermain Theatre, and Kitchen Dog Theatre. Regionally he has designed at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, The Kennedy Center, and the Spoleto Festival.
In New York he has designed at Theatre for a New Audience, the Joyce Theatre, The York Theatre Company, and Lincoln Center. His dance designs have been seen internationally in Mexico and across Europe. Since 1988 he has designed for the Jose Limon Dance Company.
Currently Steve Woods teaches in the MFA Stage Design program at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. That has led him to head the Design Showcase East each spring in New York City.
He also is a host of a podcast about lighting design called Light Talk With The Lumen Brothers.
