Ariel Benjamin is a lighting designer who has worked in theatre, dance, opera, and broadcast television. For the past decade, she has been a staff lighting designer for The Lighting Design group and worked for such clients as: CNN, Bloomberg, MTV, Yahoo!, and CNBC. Currently, she is the lighting designer for the Tamron Hall Show on ABC, now in its 5th season, since its launch in 2019. Ariel received her MFA in Theatre Design from the University of Maryland, her BA in Theatre Arts from SUNY New Paltz, and is a proud native of Brooklyn, NY.
Carolyn Wong

Carolyn Wong is a New York-based lighting designer whose portfolio includes a diverse range of projects from intimate theatrical productions to internationally touring work. Favorites include Children of Eden (Manhattan Concert Productions, directed by Tony Yazbeck), Let Me Mingle Tears With Thee (Pacific Northwest Ballet / Jessica Lang), Come Through (a collaboration between TU Dance and Bon Iver), Rockin’ Road to Dublin (US Tour), Une Autre Passion (Le Ballet du Grande Théâtre de Genève), Summer’s Winter Shadow (Ballet of Monte Carlo). She currently works as the Worldwide Associate Lighting Designer for Disney’s The Lion King. She is an alumna of Oberlin College, and a native of San Francisco, California. www.wongnumber.com
Dani Deutschmann
Lighting Designer & Lighting Supervisor
Dani Deutschmann is a lighting director who has worked at various institutions around the
country including the Zoellner Arts Center at Lehigh University and Ballet Memphis. She is
also a Phoenix based freelance lighting designer for theatre, dance and opera. Dani
received her MFA in Lighting Design from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign and
her BA in Theatre & Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dani is currently the
Lighting Supervisor at Arizona State University.
Ebony Madry
Lighting Designer & Project Manager
Ebony Madry is a Lighting Designer and Project Manager at Wasted Potential in Los Angeles, overseeing the installation of audio, video, and lighting for exclusive events and tours. Ebony has worked at Brite Ideas, the Arkansas Repertory Theater, and was lighting director at the Big Top Chautauqua music festival in Wisconsin. Ebony dedicates her energy to collaborate with artists, designers, and productions that feature and uplift BIPOC populations. She actively mentors other female BIPOC students and has served on the diversity panel for the Queer People of Color Festival at UC, Irvine. www.ebonymadry.com
