Lighting & Projection Designer
Roma Flowers, a theatrical lighting and projection designer and screendance maker has worked with theatre, concert and dance and video productions for over thirty years. She has designed the lighting for such diverse performing artists as the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Dark Circles Contemporary Dance, The Dance Theatre of Harlem, DanceExchange, the Doug Elkins Dance Company, Doug Varone Dance among others. Her work has been seen throughout the United States and Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the UK, continental Europe, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Roma is a recipient of the prestigious New York Dance and Performance Award (a.k.a. Bessie) for her lighting designs, the KOI-USA Knight of Illumination Projection Design Award for “A Bon Coeur”, an evening-length work, created and performed by master dance artist, Helanius J. Wilkins. Roma’s screendance collaboration with Helanius J. Wilkins, “Dirt”, was awarded Best Experimental film in both the New York World Film Festival and the Fine Arts Film Festival. Roma as video designer was a member to the creative design team for the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s 2023 premiere of “The Factotum”. As Lighting Designer, her work was included in Houston’s Stages production of “Thunder Knocking on the Door” which was nominated for the 2023 Houston Press Theatre award. She is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829.

Ellen Lampert-Greaux is the creative director for Live Design and LDI. She was on the five-person team that founded LDI in 1988, and has produced the conference and special events for the show since its debut. She has also produced the Envision Symposium; Backstage Las Vegas; and XLIVExLDI. She is also an award-winning writer (FOLIO: EDDY Award in 2021, 2022, 2023) and editor who specializes in entertainment design and technology, writing regularly for livedesignonline.com, as well as a freelance writer on technology and architectural lighting. She is a host on several podcasts: Light Talk, Zone 1, and now Artistic Finance.
